So I don't often blog, but when I do, I do it like a pro.
Or so my ideal meme would say.

This evening, I consumed my daily recommended intake of calories all in a single sitting at Supply & Demand - a Peruv-lian/Ita-vian joint along Esplanade. Nestled in a tiny alcove along Glutton's Bay, the place is quite the hidden find. The entrance itself is in a tiny, plant-filled circle that was really more reminiscent of Shanghai's Xintiandi, than of the metallic spectacle that we've come to associate the Esplanade area with.

And the reason for this? I (hahahahahaha) won some Foodie (let's laugh again!) contest by Between (that couples' messaging app), and OpenRice (HungryGoWhere competitor). We were asked to send in our couple dish... elucidating on why it was symbolic of our relationship. And my entry was..

"Pesto pasta! Borne of a culinary mistake involving too many substituted ingredients, the dish, like crème brûlée, was an unexpected success. Very symbolic of our relationship, where most dates are spent meandering down dark alleyways/wrong expressway exits where surprises like hidden, previously unheard-of eateries can be found."

Partially true.. and good enough to win, I suppose ;) Heh. Oh well, but cxy's pesto pasta is to die for.
