Mussel Men in SF
The reason why I don't like using guidebooks alone is that places listed in them usually become overrun with 10,000 tourists before we get there. They've all bought the same guidebook, and the poor owners either get so frazzled, they start snapping at people, or they jack up their prices by an unjustifiable margin. And the place becomes... just another tourist spot :3

Most important things first
Oysters were fresh as sin.

Shared this seafood cocktail with Wil. It went very well with Tabasco!

Prices are updated frequently at this joint. One imagines that it fluctuates with supply prices.

My best friend.
But food alone cannot complete one's dining experience. The crew at Swan Oyster Depot were thick as thieves, and it showed in how they tossed jokes at each other while salting/doing whatever to the seafood.

And they were sporting creatures too! Meet... the brothersss (ok I made that up).

Would imagine this was the mother...
Her hair looks like a modified Queen's Counsel wig right

Check out the array of international dollar bills behind the counter. Spot Neek's $2!
Like how they still use a vintage cashier

Shopfront.

Very pleased with his find ^^
Three updates in 24 hours! I'm really excited about editing my East Coast photos, that's why :D BUT I MUST MOVE IN (PRETTY MUCH) CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER.
But of course, exceptions do happen, and this lovely place was an absolute delight to dine in.
With much pleasure: Swan Oyster Depot. Recommended by Neek's trusty guidebook.
They don't even have a website.
